Dear Gravely Families,

It is with great joy and sincere gratitude that I welcome you to another school year at Gravely Elementary. As I begin my third year as principal, I remain honored to serve this incredible community alongside a dedicated staff who are deeply committed to the success and well-being of every student.

My educational journey includes a bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on technology, and a doctoral degree in Professional Studies in Education. I am certified in teaching grades K-3 as well as educational leadership and administration.

On a personal note, my husband, Marcus, and I enjoy spending time together at sporting events supporting our son, Myles. A proud former Gravely Seadog, Myles is a Junior at Patriot High School where he plays football and basketball.

I have spent more than 20 years in education, including teaching internationally in Tirana, Albania, and Athens, Greece. Gravely has been my home for more than 15 years. I proudly served as a kindergarten teacher for five years, assistant principal for six years, and am now entering my third year as principal. It has been a privilege to grow alongside this school and witness the remarkable achievements of our students, staff, and families.

As we begin this new year, my vision remains clear: every student will excel while feeling seen, supported, valued, and inspired. Together, we will continue to build on our strong foundation of academic excellence, foster a positive and inclusive school culture, and create meaningful learning experiences that empower each child to reach their fullest potential. I am committed to ensuring that every decision we make places students at the center and supports both their academic and emotional growth.

Our success is made possible through strong partnerships between home and school. I am grateful for the trust you place in us each day and look forward to continuing our work together as we support, celebrate, and inspire our students.
