Hello Gravely Parents,

I am Ms. Bonnay and I will be your child’s Resource Program Specialist this year.  My background includes sixteen years of teaching experience in special education and general education.  I have a Special Education – LD Credential; a Masters of Arts in Elementary Teaching including certification for the English Learners Language Authorization.  I have taught 1st-6th grade general education and K-6th grade in special education pull-out programs.

My teaching experiences also extend outside the classroom in serving the community in capacities such as teaching after school reading programs; summer school for Special Day Class students from pre-school to fourth grade; and working with the California State University of Monterey Bay staff and Natividad Physician’s Assistant residents in a Minds Matter pilot program that serviced 6th grade students with trauma backgrounds helping equip and prepare for middle school.

This past summer, I also became a foster parent and was privileged to come along side and help a child in an entirely different capacity outside of school and during a pandemic.  Life changing. Cherish the memories.

I look forward to getting to know you and your child this year and watching these little ones grow in every season!

Welcome Back to School Everyone,

We made it through the first week of school! Hats off to all of you for helping your child join in every meeting!

We are jumping right into learning and it brings much joy to see your child ready for our virtual adventure.

My Canvas page is published with school and office hours including our classroom Zoom link. Courses are still under construction but will be available soon.

You may want to frequently check out the Prince William County School website below. They update it periodically with new resources:

Have a wonderful week and I look forward to working with you and your child this year! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions at any time.

Best regards,

Lori Bonnay, M.A.Ed./Sp.Ed.
