I am Miss Bonner and I am the art teacher of all students at Gravely.   I see each class for 45 minutes once every 6 days.  We follow the VA and PWC Visual Art SOLs.  Your child will learn about a variety of art techniques, styles, and artists this year in art.  Please check in frequently as this is where you will find out what your child is working on this week in art along with any art announcements.  If you ever have any questions or concerns please contact me at

About Me

My name is Stephanie Bonner.  I am the art teacher at Gravely Elementary.  This school year will mark my 12th year at Gravely and my 13th  year in the county.  I am a Virginia native that grew up  in Prince William County.  I currently live in the Shenandoah Valley.  I have a Bachelor's degree in Art/Graphic Design from Radford University and a Master's Degree in Education from the University of Mary Washington.  When I am not at Gravely, I enjoy running, reading, being outside, going to the beach, and photographing my adventures.

Learning From Home Resources

  • CLAY:    I did not have time to fire the kiln during my time cleaning up my room.  If you are a 5th grade student that would like to get your clay back, please have your parents email me at so I can arrange a time for you to pick it up once school opens up.  Any 5th grader with a sibling at Gravely will have their clay sent home with their sibling once it has been fired.  All other grade levels, I have kept your clay as well and plan on firing it and getting it back to you when school opens up again.
  • ALL 2-D ART has been sent home in the bags with the items from your classroom.  This includes items that were to be in the county art show last year.  I hope everything made it home to you all.  It looked beautiful as I was sorting it into teacher's mailboxes.
  • I've been told that many of my feedback emails/videos through Flipgrid are going to parent's "junk" folders in their email.  I have been giving feedback to each post on Flipgrid.  If you are not receiving them, please check your junk folder.
  • I will be posting lessons in the "files and documents" section.  You will go to "files and documents"-"learning from home"-"lessons"  or ClickHereForLessons

I also have the county and state SOLS for visual art.  On the bottom of the pacing guide I have listed what main technique we have yet to cover for each grade level.  For example, painting, printing, etc.  ClickHereForPacingGuide
