Welcome to Ms. Smith's third grade class page!
SOL Information Night
SOL Information Night is quickly approaching! It will be held on Tuesday April 25th from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. You should have received a blue invitation in your child's Tuesday Folder. If you have not, please let me know and I will send another home. Below is an important link where you can submit any questions you may have about the SOL. We will then compile all of the questions and be sure they are answered at SOL Night. Be sure you enter your questions at this link
Our Math Test has been moved to Friday, March 24th due to our two snow days. The Homework is the Study Guide for the test. The questions on the Homework page look just like the questions students will see on their test.
Our Reading Test is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, March 28th. Be watching for a Study Guide for this. It will cover Biographies, Autobiographies, and Dictionary Skills.
We are running low on a few classroom supplies. Please consider donating to the class or supplying your student with these materials:
1. expo markers
3. lined paper
unfortunately, we had enough headphones for each laptop but due to not using them appropriately, we only have one pair left. I told the students that they are welcome to bring a pair of their own in for THEIR USE ONLY. I will supply them with a bag that we can label with their name and put in a safe spot for when they use the computers for Raz-Kids.
Reminder that your child should be getting on IXL, Moby Max, or Math Reflex Daily at home. If they do not have access to the internet, they can practice flashcards or study/practice math skills we are currently learning from their math binder. They need to also be reading 20 minutes a night. Be sure to sign you child's agenda book indicating that your child completed their homework (math facts and read 20 minutes).
Thank you for you support!
Hello Parents! We have earned flashlight Friday two times so far and the students absolutely loved it! The only challenge we do not have enough flashlights. If possible, please consider donating a small flashlight to the classroom so that we can earn flashlight Friday more often. Thank you for all that you do!
