My name is Mrs. Weller and I am so excited to be part of the First Grade Team here at Samuel L. Gravely! More importantly, I am thrilled to be your child's teacher this year! I am eager to make this an exciting year of learning.
This is my fourth year teaching at Gravely, but my seventeenth year of teaching first grade. I previously taught first grade in Fairfax County for eight years and Loudoun County for five years. I graduated from Virginia Tech in 2004 with my Master's of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction (Elementary Education). I absolutely love teaching first grade and find it to be such a magical year of learning and growth.
I grew up in Fairfax with my parents and younger brother, Nick. My husband, Jeff, and I now live in Haymarket, after a move from Aldie, with our two little girls. We have two daughters; Hayley is 8 and Caroline is 6. We also have the sweetest little dog named, Benny.
Outside of school, you will find me spending time with my daughters and husband. I also enjoy cooking, baking, shopping, and decorating. I love spending time at the beach in North or South Carolina. The beach is my happy place. :-)
This will be a great year of learning for all of the fantastic first graders in our classroom! Please do not hesitate to email me at [email protected] with any questions or concerns throughout the year. I look forward to working with each of you!
